General Info

  • The Slice of Chicago 5K was rescheduled to Saturday, October 3, 2026, due to an unexpected shipping delay that prevented our finisher medals from arriving in time for the original race date.

    The medals have now officially arrived! We’re excited to give every runner the full Slice of Chicago experience, including the medal, pizza, DJs, and race day celebration you signed up for.

    If you did not request a refund, your registration remains active and has automatically transferred to the new race date.

  • We offered a two-week refund request window for anyone unable to attend the new race date, which closed on Friday, July 17. Unfortunately, the window is now closed, and we’re unable to accept additional requests.

    Refunds for those who completed the form will begin processing on a rolling basis and may take 15–30 days to complete. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding!

  • As a thank-you for rolling your registration over to the new date, you’ll receive an extra custom shirt and an extra slice of pizza at the finish line.

    The new shirt design will be shared soon and can be picked up during packet pickup, September 30, October 1 and October 2.

    Note: To receive a finisher medal, you must complete the race.

  • Yes! The race grounds are open to spectators too!

  • Yes, that’s okay! The order may appear under the purchaser’s name, but all bibs in the order are confirmed and good to go for race day. You’re all set!

  • Yes! Strollers are welcome on the course, but we ask anyone running or walking with a stroller to start in the last corral for everyone’s safety.

  • No, pets aren’t allowed on the course. But they are welcome on the grounds as long as they’re on a leash.

  • Yes. All participants will receive a timed bib, and your time will be automatically recorded when you cross the finish line. You’ll be able to find the race result link here.

PACKET PICKUP

  • The packet pickup will be the week of the race, September 30, October 1, and October 2.

    The final location and official times will be shared in August!

  • Confirmation number and photo ID of original purchaser (or clear copy).

  • Yes! All they need is the Tixr confirmation and a photo of the purchaser’s ID. A phone pic works!

  • Yes! Same-day packet pickup will be available for $15 per order at the Info Booth on the race grounds. 

    Pickup hours are 6 AM to 7:30 AM. Card and cash will be accepted.

    The same-day packet pickup fee is per order. If you are picking up for multiple orders, the fee will apply for each.
